Have you been asking yourself: “How do I get started with affiliate marketing?” This post pertains to a series of posts were I share my journey building an online business. If you would like to read this series from the beginning, you can click here to go directly to the first post. In this post you’re reading right now, I will show you how I got started with affiliate marketing.

Having a map is valuable and having a clear notion of what to expect when we start a business is key. I would like to give you a bit of insight if you’re planning to hit the road with an affiliate marketing project. Taking a look at my story might be helpful.

Let’s see in this chapter what I learned when I just got started. The initial excitement gradually fades away and challenges begin to appear. One starts to ask “Can I overcome this obstacle?”

I got to a point where I felt discouraged. And I believe anybody starting at affiliate marketing will fell this way. I would like to share with you what discouraged me. It indeed made me go off track. Having a bird sight view of this journey before you start it can be a complete game changer.

Building your business as an affiliate marketer is not easy. Even if you find the proper training, there will still be a lot of challenges to overcome. But I believe the best way to get started with affiliate marketing is joining this platform I joined. You can join for free and taste yourself what affiliate marketing is all about.

I’m being perfectly honest with you. After the first shot I gave to affiliate marketing I came to the conclusion it wasn’t for me. Before getting involved with affiliate marketing I didn’t know I had to produce content. And I discovered that once I started the training. Writing in English might not be an issue for you, but there may be other things you find difficult.

You have gathered some information of what it’s like to get started. I have mentioned a few of the things that impressed me. But nothing beats building your own site, choosing your own niche and creating your own content. In other words, giving it a try yourself. You can get started with affiliate marketing for free clicking here (you can build up to two sites for free on this platform).

After reading this post, the intention is not only to share with you how I got started, nor for me to tell you how you can get started. The real purpose of this post is that you actually get started yourself.

I’m sure you’ll have advantages over me when I first started. But still, the road will be tough for you as well! Be prepared!

At the end of the day, affiliate marketing indeed was for me. I still don’t write very good English, but I managed to go pass that first barrier (and many others).

It may or may not be for you. I don’t want you to believe it will be easy. It’s a business: “It will take work to make it work!” But once it works, the benefits are awesome!

If you want to continue this story, stay tuned for the next installment. And if you have some experiences of your own involving affiliate marketing, I’m eager to listen to them. You can use the comment box below.

Thanks for the post. This was super interesting and informative. I especially liked the comic strip it was a nice touch. How do you think affiliate marketing will change and or affect the future? Do you think it will remain a stable way of income? I’m not trying to sound ominous or anything, just trying to start a discussion. This is a great site, it was very helpful.

    Henry · July 10, 2019 at 11:04 PM

    Hello Marlo! Nice questions.

    1. I believe affiliate marketing will continue to empower more people to be able to work from home (or from any place in the World they choose).

    2. Affiliate Marketing is not a stable way of income right now, by any means. And I personally believe it will never be. As in any business, you just have to learn the ropes and keep at the top of the game.

I hope this has helped. What do you think? Thanks for stopping by and for your comment. 🙂

thejimb2 · July 6, 2019 at 4:46 AM

Great graphics and humor. I like what an honest appraisal of affiliate marketing it is, too I’ve also been in Wealthy Affiliate for just over two months. The training is superb and I’m really enjoying it.

I love to write and have tried to start blogs before. They always failed because I had no idea what I was doing. Wealthy Affiliate takes all the mystery out of it. I joined for free and started the lessons. Before the free trial was over my website was up, looked professional, and I was happily posting.

I’m glad I like to do it, because, as you say, it is a lot of work. This is no get rich quick scheme. It takes time and work. So far, I haven’t made a cent and I am struggling with improving my ranking in Google. But it’s only been two months. I’m optimistic. And, as I said, I am enjoying the process.

    Henry · July 10, 2019 at 10:54 PM

Hi! Thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your story too. Yes, getting to the point were you are making a full-time living online with affiliate marketing takes a lot of work. But I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the journey: creating content and improving your rankings in Google!

I wish you all the best! Keep up the good work! 🙂

Paul · July 6, 2019 at 4:49 AM

Dear Henry,

Wow, thanks a lot for sharing your story, and the way you presented it is awesome. I have been following your story through the previous posts. You have a very good command of the English Language (you do a lot better than me).

I have been trying to make money online since 2008. After a long struggle, in December 2017 I became a full-time Affiliate Marketer and Blogger.

Based on my experience, one of the best ways to make money online is by having your own website and doing Affiliate Marketing. Affiliate Marketing has made Businesses Millions and Ordinary People Millionaires – Bo Bennett.

As you mentioned it correctly, it’s almost impossible to succeed online without proper training, support, guidance, and tools. When I realized this truth after months of research, I joined Wealthy Affiliate. And because of Wealthy Affiliate’s training, I am a full-time Affiliate Marketer now.

I am not saying it’s going to be an easy journey (Affiliate Marketing) but it’s worth the effort. Being our own boss is a blessing. Eagerly waiting for your next post!

Much Success!

    Henry · July 10, 2019 at 10:44 PM

Hi Paul! Thank you very much for reading this series. I feel honored.

Thank you for also sharing part of your journey into Affiliate Marketing. It’s never easy, but once you learn the ropes, it’s a blessing.

See you soon on the next post of this series. All the best!

shirian · July 6, 2019 at 5:09 AM

Hi Henry, I have been googling about affiliate marketing and I’ve read many articles about it. To be honest, I thought affiliate marketing would not be good for me. But reading your post, something has sparked on my mind and I got hope again.

I enjoyed reading your article. It’s easy to understand.

I have some questions though. You said joining this program is free, right?

1.) Do I need to provide my bank account information during the sign-up process?

2.) How long does it take to get live your site?

Thanks in advanced.

    Henry · July 10, 2019 at 10:34 PM

Hi Shirian! I’m glad you liked this article. Concerning your questions:

1.) No, you do not need to provide bank account information ever.

2.) Your site goes live instantly.

    You’re most welcome! 🙂

Pentrental · July 10, 2019 at 11:24 PM

Great question, how does one get started with affiliate marketing. I’ve done a web search on this myself and the answer quite honestly is not so crystal clear, so your post becomes really helpful.

Getting started with a community sounds reasonable. And your cartoon, if I may call it that, is something I haven’t seen before. Well done!

    Henry · July 10, 2019 at 11:35 PM

Hi! Thank you for your comment. Yes, I’d recommend getting started in affiliate marketing with Wealthy Affiliate (even as a free member). It gives you a bird sight view of the industry.

    Keep well! 🙂

Trevor M · July 11, 2019 at 3:21 AM

It will take work to make it work, you got that right. If you love to learn, meet new people and of course being your own boss then this is for you! Most things work out for the best if you work at it.

It’s very unique what you have done with your site including the animation. You have definitely put time into it and it will pay off!

    Henry · July 11, 2019 at 3:41 AM

Hi Trevor. Yes, a lot of work. But there is a lot of gratification too in the long run!

Thank you for your predictions concerning this site!

Riaz Shah · July 11, 2019 at 3:53 AM

Loving the comic strips Henry,

Affiliate Marketing is awesome, I met these travel bloggers recently and I had the honour of chatting with them and they told me to get into Affiliate Marketing. I’m thinking of going for the gaming niche, do you think that’s a good niche to go into? There are a lot of huge gaming events upcoming and I can write about them 😀

    Henry · July 11, 2019 at 4:04 AM

    Hi Riaz.

Yes, the gaming niche is a good one. I’m happy to hear these travel bloggers encouraged you to give affiliate marketing a try. I’m excited to hear about it. All the best in this new journey!

Russ Green · July 11, 2019 at 4:16 AM

Thank you for posting this very interesting affiliate marketing article Henry. I loved the comic strip idea, that’s the first time I’ve seen that type of thing used. It’s actually very good.

I also believe that affiliate marketing is the best way of making money online and not only that I believe it is going to grow and become much more popular in the near future, the fact that all of the main companies and retailers now use affiliates is proof of that.

I am already a member of Wealthy Affiliate. In fact it’s thanks to them that I have come this far with my own affiliate marketing business. I wouldn’t have even known how to set up a website before I joined, I certainly have no regrets.

Thank you for sharing this post, I enjoyed reading it!

    Henry · July 12, 2019 at 3:01 AM

    Hi Russ.

I’m glad you have been building your site with Wealthy Affiliate and I encourage you to keep up the good work. Thank you very much for stopping by.

MazieD · July 11, 2019 at 4:57 AM

Hey, your presentation made this review worth reading. It was captivating from start to finish and I was really amused by the comic strips.

I have been in Wealthy Affiliate two months now. I was never a writer so when I was made to understand that a lot of writing is involved my first instinct was: “This isn’t going to work”. I love to challenge myself so I decided to give it a try and with the training, I am really glad I stayed. I am now indexed in Google and I’m enjoying the experience. Haven’t earned any money yet but, I am very much aware that a business takes time and patience,

You are doing great with the English Language. That’s really commendable. I am glad you took the time to share this review. Thank you. Wishing you more success.

    Henry · July 12, 2019 at 3:08 AM

    Hello Mazie.

As I read your comment, I also remember those first months when I got indexed in Google for the first time, and all the ton of things I started learning. It’s really exciting. And there is still so much I continue learning and the excitement hasn’t gone away yet. An online business is a lot of work but it’s also fun. I never imagined I could earn money this way.

Thank you very much for what you said concerning my English. 🙂

Keep up the good work. Persistence and patience are key! 🙂

MissusB · July 12, 2019 at 3:42 AM

I am also a non native English speaker and though I can express myself in English, I find it difficult to create valuable content. Many drafts have been changed, I have followed a lot of suggestions, but still, all of this is just a phase in becoming a successful content writer for affiliate marketing.

You are right, native English speakers have an advantage concerning affiliate marketing. But I believe we should view it as an inspiration to better ourselves on things and situations that aren’t favorable. Besides, success in this affiliate business is measured based on hard work and yes, patience and time.

Thank you for sharing your realistic and honest views about affiliate marketing. It is encouraging, especially for beginners. I enjoyed reading your experience in a comic strip because it breaks all the seriousness of this matter without taking away the essence of the struggles.

    Henry · July 12, 2019 at 12:25 PM

    Hi Missus.

It’s really special to connect with you on this matter. You have said it beautifully: “We should view it as an inspiration”. Your comment has been touching, because I know exactly how it feels. And it has also helped me to remember with gratitude those initial days. Thank you very much!

Dave · July 12, 2019 at 12:37 PM

Hallo there Henry,

Thanks a lot for offering your personal experience with affiliate marketing. The illustrations are just fantastic. It makes me wonder how you come up with the cartoons, though.

Either way, it is a very intriguing post. I am just stepping into affiliate marketing and I didn’t know a lot ’till I stumbled upon your site. Now that I know challenges await me, I think it’s time I toughen my skin and work hard.

Thanks a lot for the bird’s eye view on this, it has really helped.

    Henry · July 12, 2019 at 1:21 PM

Hey Dave. Thank you. Yes, challenges are awaiting. Your results will highly depend on how you deal with them. All the best!

Aabidah Ahmed · July 12, 2019 at 12:44 PM

I love the animation you have created in the pictures. It’s a great way to connect to people.

Anyone that wants to be in the Affiliate Marketing business needs a platform to give those first steps building their website, but getting a platform that you can trust and invest in is the hard part.

Most platforms require you to pay a fee by signing up, which I prefer not to do. You have to test any platform and see if it is for you before you join. And after you’re sure, then invest in it to grow your business.

Again, I love the animation. I would love to know how you make these cartoons. Thank you for this amazing post.

All the best.

    Henry · July 12, 2019 at 1:31 PM

Yes, I agree with you. She should always test drive first.

I use a platform called Pixton to create these cartoons.

Jordan Smith · July 12, 2019 at 12:50 PM

I love this post, short, straight to the point and the illustration are cool. Wealthy Affiliate has really been a turning point for me. Writing wasn’t my thing in the past, but some how I found a way to do it. The training has helped me learn many things, including how to create content that’s useful and entertaining for my audience.

    Henry · July 12, 2019 at 1:40 PM

    Hey Jordan.

Thank you. I’m glad to hear you found your way writing content. It can really be intimidating at the beginning, I know.

    All the best.

Shannon · July 12, 2019 at 12:50 PM

Thank you for sharing your story; I’m so glad I found it! I came across your story with your current installment, episode 3, but I went back to check out the entire journey. You’ve really come a long way! You have a very inspiring story – and just for the record, I think you write beautifully in English.

I am looking forward to following your future installments. I can’t wait to see where the affiliate marketing ride took you next. I will bookmark your page and stay tuned!

    Henry · July 12, 2019 at 1:45 PM

    Hello Shannon.

Thank you for your note concerning my English. 🙂

I’d be honored to have you back in my site for future installments. See you soon!

Henderson · July 17, 2019 at 4:39 AM

Hello Henry. It’s really hard to believe your story because the English I just read on this post couldn’t have been better. Anyway I think you did a good job with perseverance and dedication. I just joined the community too and I know a bit about the struggles… I’m currently going through the training and I hope to get better. every day. Great post by the way… I’m inspired by your story.

    Henry · July 17, 2019 at 4:58 AM

Hi Henderson. Thank you! It’s so rewarding to hear my story has inspired you. Continue the training!

Emmanuel Buysse · July 17, 2019 at 4:41 AM

I think more and more people are finding their way into affiliate marketing.

I started my journey many years ago, and I didn’t have any guide. I had to find my way myself. It took a long while before I got everything on track.

Nowadays, there seems to be so much help, so much guidance. I never had that. Thanks for sharing insights of your journey. I went through many hurdles too. A series like this would have helped me a lot and I know it will help a lot of people that are just starting.

    Henry · July 18, 2019 at 4:12 AM

Hi Emmanuel. I sure hope it helps many. You’re right, there is much more information on how to get started in affiliate marketing today than there was 10 years ago. But there is also a lot of misleading information. I hope the posts in this series are well balanced!

Ibrahim · July 17, 2019 at 4:43 AM

This is one of the best websites I’ve seen for affiliate marketing! I love how it’s in a cartoonish, comic book form and how it will keep a reader engaged.

I also initiated this adventure with affiliate marketing. And I know I need to be patient. I take it’s not easy but I appreciate you state it clearly. This gives me confidence towards your site.

    Henry · July 18, 2019 at 4:21 AM

Hi Ibrahim! Thank you. It’s not easy but it’s rewarding. Yes, patience is required. Keep up the good work!

Scott Hinkle · July 18, 2019 at 3:54 AM

First off, thank you for this great post. It really explains the process and I love the cartoon/comic style story.

I happen to be a native English speaker so I do have that advantage, I suppose.

Everything you say here is so true. I started in affiliate marketing about a year an a half ago and there are definite hurdles to overcome at times. Many are self-imposed.

Thanks again Henry, great read.

    Henry · July 18, 2019 at 4:28 AM

Hi Scott! I’m glad to hear you liked this post.

Yes, anybody that starts in affiliate marketing will encounter difficulties. But the results are rewarding.

Keep up the good work. Have you already begun to see results with your site?

Vanessa · July 19, 2019 at 2:52 AM

Wow, that was pretty cool. English may not be your native language but that comic strip thing sure is. That was pretty cool. Loved it and the fact that you did not allow the challenges to stand in your way of getting into affiliate marketing. Lots of people have a get rich quick mentality when it comes to making money online.

One thing that really stand out for me is the fact that you stated that there really is nothing like building your own website and creating content. That is so true and the money to be made with affiliate marketing is really fantastic as well. I’d definitely encourage anyone to get into affiliate marketing if they are looking to build an online business.

    Henry · July 20, 2019 at 11:42 PM

Hi Vanessa! Thank you. Yes, there will always be challenges. But realizing success will never come overnight, helps us adjusting our mentality. It’s always low-temperature cooking!

Rina · July 19, 2019 at 2:54 AM

Wow! What a great story about your online journey. I am pleased to have come across it and read your experience. The fact that you were able to start for free is encouraging because if you find that it’s not for you then you can simply leave. So no risk! That sounds very appealing to me. I think I will take a look for myself then. Thanks for the article, it’s helped me take the next step 🙂

    Henry · July 21, 2019 at 12:06 AM

Hi Rina! You don’t have anything to lose and lots to gain. Give it a try! 🙂 Further ahead you’ll thank me I encouraged you!

    All the best! 🙂

Linda · July 21, 2019 at 2:16 AM

I have just joined Wealthy Affiliate recently and it really looks promising. I’m excited building my site too. I have learnt so many things that I never thought I would be capable of: SEO, WordPress, Keyword research, and so more.

I like your graphics and the humor in them. You must have done some serious graphic designing for this!

    Henry · July 21, 2019 at 2:33 AM

Hi Linda! I’m glad to hear you’re also starting your business. Yes, there is so much to learn when running a website. And I really like it’s explained in a way that we can all understand. Keep up the good work!

RoDarrick · July 21, 2019 at 2:19 AM

This is an interesting article and I enjoyed the use of comics which makes it fun to read. Seriously, like you said, everyone would face a challenge or more while running an affiliate marketing business but with dedication and consistency, everything is achievable. I had difficulties in selecting a niche when I started. It just seemed that I couldn’t narrow my interest down to focusing on a niche but later on, after a lot of ups and downs, I finally selected a niche which I have majored on since then.

    Henry · July 21, 2019 at 2:36 AM

Hi RoDarrick! Thanks for sharing your experience getting started with affiliate marketing. Yes, choosing a niche is one of the tough decisions right from the start. I’m glad to hear you narrowed it down and enjoy what you’ve been doing on your site. Keep well!

Adyns68 · July 25, 2019 at 1:12 PM

I can totally relate to what you are saying. I come from a french speaking country, I could speak and read English but I was not inspired in writing in English.

But the motivation I had was stronger than my fear. So, I took the training in Wealthy Affiliate and today I can write and I am improving myself every day. But I couldn’t have improved without the help of Wealthy Affiliate’s community. The help I am getting every day pushes me to become a better affiliate marketer. We exchange knowledge and experience to improve.

Thanks for sharing

    Henry · July 26, 2019 at 1:10 AM

Hi! Thanks for sharing your story as you started off in affiliate marketing and the challenges concerning writing in a foreign language. I’m glad you found Wealthy Affiliate and you have progressing with your own business. Keep up the good work.

Harry · July 25, 2019 at 1:28 PM

I just started my affiliate marketing website a few days ago and I have no clue how to actually proceed from there… Is this Wealthy Affiliate that I got redirected after clicking your link some kind of training program or just a hosting platform?

I am sure that you are hearing this a lot but I really enjoyed this unique comic-like sketch you have created. Have you used some kind of special program to do that or did you create it with paint or photoshop?

Can’t wait for the next episode…

    Henry · July 26, 2019 at 1:16 AM

Hi Harry! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Wealthy Affiliate is a training platform that also provides hosting among other useful tools. If you have recently launched your first site, it’s an excellent time to check out  Wealthy Affiliate for yourself (it’s completely free to join).

Concerning the comics they were created with a program called Pixton.

Pamela Arsena · November 26, 2019 at 8:27 PM

I am happy to stumble across your article about getting started with affiliate marketing. Although I am not new I remember being new a few years ago and boy was it a struggle. Between a lack of knowledge, shiny objects and scams it was a battlefield.  With that being said, posts like this are extremely insightful and helpful

    Henry · November 29, 2019 at 1:13 AM

Hi Pamela. I’m glad you found this post helpful. And I’m glad to hear some impressions about your beginnings online. Keep up the good work on your sites.

Marios Tofarides · November 26, 2019 at 8:29 PM

Hey there Henry,

I have the same struggles as you. English is not my mother language (Greek is), I still have a full-time job and a family, and I try blogging and affiliate marketing as a side hustle. It’s not easy, there are a lot of things to learn and master, all while maintaining your blog and writing quality content, and going through life.

It’s an interesting journey though. Learn how content marketing, social media, search engines and many more work, is a good knowledge to have. Many challenges, but you won’t grow without them.

Looking forward to your next post!

    Henry · November 29, 2019 at 1:17 AM

Hello Marios. You’re right there were we don’t know if keeping on or turning back. Every entrepreneur has been there. So, your decisions at this point will determine if you really are an entrepreneur. All the best in your journey!

RandalvS · November 26, 2019 at 8:40 PM

I really enjoyed reading the post. The thing that stands out is your honesty about the topic. You also use your personal experience of the topic, which is very good. No one can dispute personal experience. In-fact it draws people into the topic and they want to read more. The visual aids are also very good. It helps tell your story. Your web page is also easy to navigate. You also make people want to find out more about where this eventually leads too, including me. Well done.

    Henry · November 29, 2019 at 1:23 AM

Hi Randal. Thank you for your nice words about this post and site. I’ll be honored to have you in the next installments of this series.

Stephanie · November 29, 2019 at 1:18 AM

For someone who’s mother language isn’t English, you portray it really good. Spanish is also my main language and as you said, it’s challenging not knowing if you’re using the right terms or the right words when it comes to writing quality content. I’m still struggling as well, but I do find that affiliate marketing is a really good start towards what your goals are and most important, towards earning income online.

    Henry · November 29, 2019 at 2:01 AM

Hola Stephanie. I’m glad to hear Spanish is also your first language. And I agree with you that affiliate marketing is a wonderful opportunity.

Marketa · November 29, 2019 at 1:19 AM

I absolutely loved your site and especially the comic strip illustrating your story. I too have started my affiliate marketing journey, albeit fairly recently. At this stage, I’m somewhat apprehensive about the process and feel that although I have some great ideas, I am not really sure how to go about making them work in a financial sense.

It is really encouraging to read about your positive Wealthy Affiliate experience and I look forward to my journey ahead 🙂

    Henry · November 29, 2019 at 2:03 AM

Hi Marketa! Good you’ve also initiated this journey. Feel free to ask questions or share experiences gained with your sites here on my blog. Affiliate marketing is a long but interesting journey.

Gomer · November 29, 2019 at 1:25 AM

I can relate to your post as I also experienced those realities you have shared. English is not my first language, and although the Philippines is an English-speaking country, readers can still sense how we struggle to come up with content like those written by Americans. And for years, that hold me from blogging and I only got over it recently. Thanks to Wealthy Affiliate, I was forced to learn how to write English content and am actually doing it now.

    Henry · November 29, 2019 at 2:07 AM

Hi Gomer. I’ve read your blog and I must say you have great content. A unique perspective and interesting topics. I feel honored you’ve stopped by my site and left me a comment. Thank you very much!

Jake · January 11, 2020 at 8:28 PM

Nice post! I’m still rather new to affiliate marketing. I’ve been in it for about 5 months. It is a lot of work in the beginning, and it can be difficult to keep your optimism. There are a lot of hurdles, and you do not start making profits until you have put in some serious commitment and time. It’s a long-term game, so you really have to do what you’re passionate about, and enjoy what you’re doing. Time should fly by.

    Henry · January 12, 2020 at 6:09 PM

Hi Jake! Good you have already started your journey in affiliate marketing. And contrary to what scammers say, that it’s super easy to make money online, building a business with affiliate marketing takes time and commitment. Great to have you here and all the best with your business.

Benny · January 11, 2020 at 8:29 PM

Hi! One of my biggest struggles has been selecting a niche. First I wanted to build one site for about 10 niches I had in mind, so that would be 10 sites. I was counselled that I should focus on just one to start. Then my niche was to broad. I was counselled that I should dig a bit deeper. Recently I almost bought a domain with a products brand in the name. I was counselled not to go so specific and never to buy domains with brand names in it. This start has been a bit of a bumpy road for me.

    Henry · January 12, 2020 at 6:17 PM

Hey Benny. You’re doing great! Both you and the person that is counselling you! You’ve been taking correct decisions.

Lee · January 11, 2020 at 8:34 PM

I love your story and you are very effective at communicating it. I am very impressed that you do this when English is your second language. I am a teacher and I teach English, so I know how important it is to communicate clearly with your audience if you want to build a successful online business. Congratulations to your success.

    Henry · January 12, 2020 at 6:22 PM

Hi Lee. Thank you for those encouraging words concerning English. I hope to continue learning the language and to communicate better. Please don’t hesitate to point out any grammatical mistakes in my posts. Thanks you very much for stopping by.

Michel · January 24, 2020 at 10:58 AM

I loved your comic strip, and that is what grabbed my attention the most in this informative article. The story sounds all too familiar. Many find something online, try it for a while, think it doesn’t work, give up to soon and then go onto something new. This works itself into a vicious cycle that you will find difficult to get out of.

I have been a member of Wealthy Affiliate for almost five years, and it hasn’t always been easy, especially finding the time to put into my business. But stick with it, and like me, you will be making money, not overnight, but just keep working and it will come.

Hello Henry, thank you for sharing your experience moving forward with learning and starting affiliate marketing. Indeed getting a foresight of what we would experience in whatever we want to embark on will give us edge over the possible problems we would encounter. This is very true and totally resonates with affiliate marketing. Knowing what we’d encounter will enable us to prepare very well so we’ll not be taken unexpectedly.

For me, I will not face the problemof English because it is a general language here in my country and we were taught in English in school. I think I’d have to battle with writing contents and probably the waiting time before I’d begin to see the profits coming in. Nevertheless, I think it’s worth waiting for. Joining a community is one of the best way to succeed because we’d have contact with like-minded individuals. This will make the whole process a lil bit easier.

Hi! Each one of us has to confront difficulties before success: ones in one way (such as language barriers) and others in other ways (having to wait, and there could be a long list here). My recommendation to all is slow and steady wins the race.

Getting started online with affiliate marketing sounds good. But I know it’s a lot of work and we can easily get discouraged. I like to know beforehand what I’ll find so I can get emotionally prepared to endure. There is nothing worse than to go blindfolded into new scenarios. And your experience through this cartoon has helped me very much.

Hi Shanta! I’m happy you found useful this experience to foresee what could await any affiliate marketer that starts this business. I wish you the best as you start building your site.

Hi! Researching is usually boring. We are interested in learning and that’s why we research but a lot of content online is monotonous. I can’t say the same of your post. I wanted to get started with affiliate marketing before I came here. But now, I have decided to get started today! Thanks for helping me make up my mind.
